How to Dress Them in Real Clothes for a Week
The week they've been waiting for is finally here: half term. For them, it's a whole week of staying up past their bedtime, sneaking extra iPad time and fun-filled playdates but for you, it's a whole week of juggling childcare (thanks Grandma) and spending more time planning their outfits than yours... but, not for long. Let us take one of those things off your list (not the childcare – sorry) with four easy outfits for their half-term adventures.
At-Home Playdates
She might not want you to hang out with her and her friends, but she'll still need your help picking out the perfect outfit: the kind that's comfy, casual and just a little bit special. This outfit is exactly that: the leggings and trainers cover the comfy and casual memo, whilst the Peter Pan collared shirt adds a touch of something, something. All that's left to do is leave the girls to it and bring the snacks when summoned.
Bowling with the Boys
Ah, the bowling alley: where you can let the little ones run wild and blow off some steam whilst you enjoy an extra-large Slushy (yes, they're for adults too). He's going to need something comfortable for all that running around, so dress him up casual cargos with an elasticated waistband, oversized sweatshirt (he'll grow into it) and trainers.

Birthday Parties
When you have a whole class worth of birthday parties to attend, the chances are that she'll have an invite for half term. Make sure your social butterfly is dressed for the occasion with wide leg jeans, a casual t-shirt and a new quilted jacket that you wish came in adult size too. Now all that's left to do is drop her off, wish the hosts good luck and wait to raid her party bag later.
Sunday Roasts
He might have a busy half term, but squeezing in some family time is a must. Luckily, it's a casual affair so he can keep his favourite sweatpants and hoodie on. Finish the look with a sleeveless vest and casual trainers that'll work perfectly for the post-roast walk you've got planned. This is Sunday dressing, made mini.
