#IslandersAtHome: The Big Weekender

May Bank Holiday is going to be a little bit different this year but that doesn’t mean it can’t be great. We’re going to try our hardest to make it the greatest for you with The Big Weekender! Turn up and tune in for a long weekend at home with live music from the hottest up and coming talent. Every night from 7pm on the @riverisland Instagram Live, you can enjoy everything from pop and R&B, to folk music and indie-pop.

19:00 SIIGHTS 

An Irish/Scottish duo, Mia and Toni are Siights. Both songwriters, multi-instrumentalists and vocalists, they mix organic instruments with electronic sounds for a groovy sound. 

19:35 ISAAC BUTLER 

Story-telling through his lyrics, Isaac Butler is a singer from Dublin with a pop-feel. His tracks are nostalgically youthful, but he’s not afraid to explore darker territory. 

20:05 SAM CALVER

South coast singer-songwriter, music has always been in Sam Calver’s bones. Growing up around guitar music has influenced Sam’s sound, as well as pop. 

20:40 LEXIE 

Pop-soul with plenty of female attitude, you can hear the old school influences in Lexie’s music. Her lyrics are expressive and rich with stories, as well as her own experiences.

19:00 RUBY FRANCIS 

North Londoner born and bred, music is Ruby Francis’ first love and second language. Her sound is all about those funky R&B vibes with a retro feel. 

19:35 LAOLU 

Singer-songwriter from South East London, Laolu’s sound is R&B with an alternative flair. Bringing elements in from other genres, she’s really pushing boundaries. 

20:05 REECE LEMONIUS

Starting his musical journey after a teenage break up, Reece is a pop singer-songwriter who draws influences from funk, soul and R&B.

19:00 ALYSHA 

Mixing all her favourite genres into one, singer-songwriter Alysha describes her sound as a melting pot of lo-fi pop, R&B and neo-soul music. 

19:35 EMILY LAING 

Country girl at heart, Emily is a singer-songwriter from Gloucestershire. Light, quirky and folky, she loves killer lyrics and a beautiful melody. 

20:05 POSH CHOCOLATES 

Inspired by 80s synth-pop, Posh Chocolates is driven by guitar and hip-hop drum beats. Imagining their own genre, their sound is playful, circus-sounding pop.
