Bedtime? What bedtime? Tonight is the one time of year that the kids stay up as late as the adults. While the dinner party is in full swing downstairs, follow the silence to find all kinds of festive mischief. The kid’s room is the place to be. In one corner she’s twirling in the girls party dress mum laid out for her, and he’s comparing Christmas lists with a friend wearing a dapper suit for boys in the other. Debates about whether Father Christmas is real or not (we’re saying nothing) are interrupted by the appearance of their next sugar rush. Hands up who thinks this sleepover isn’t going to involve much sleeping.

As predicted not much sleep was had last night, but a lot of fun was! A quick walk for a dose of fresh air will hold off any incoming tantrums especially wrapped in their cosiest winter coats. Not as fancy as their Christmas party outfits but the warm layers are perfect for keeping them warm on their upcoming adventure. It’s been ages since the kids were all together and they’re loving it.
