Shop Must Haves

"Each summer, I tend to invest in a couple of dresses that I can slip on with chunky sandals for day-to-day running around, heeled shoes for a summer soirée and even boots and a jumper for a business meeting. The satin dress ticks all of those boxes. It’s breezy enough for it to work for daytime; but add a heel, a jacket and a statement accessory and it’s instantly smarter without being overpowering."

"The classic trench is the perfect in-between insulator for spring that keeps the cold out without making you feel swamped. On the days when I need to feel “together” but I don’t have the brain power to engage with the contents of my wardrobe, I will reach for a plain top, a pair of wide-leg black jeans, a trench and a bag that sparks joy. It makes for the perfect desk-to-dusk get-up that doesn’t require too much effort to assemble but looks the part."

"There’s nothing I love more than a power suit. They’re the perfect — and easiest — way to embrace comfort with style. I tend to size up in both the blazer and trousers to create a slightly slouchier and more androgynous look. I like adding a plain tank top, a strappy sandal and a statement bag to make it a little more playful. For work summer parties, birthday BBQs or holiday get-ups, the power suit (particularly in a breezy linen) is a must-have."

"One of the ways that I incorporate more trend-led pieces into my capsule wardrobe is by investing in them in pared-back palettes. This flowing maxi skirt is a prime example. Once the sun puts its hat on once and for all, the easiest way to wear a silky maxi is with a white tank top and chunky sandals and for a dressier affair, it just needs an open-toed kitten heel, a slick hair ‘do and a bold pop of colour on the lip to add some personality."
