What is the Self Love Brings

Beauty movement?

It’s a collective that anyone can join, a safe online space for people of all genders, sizes and backgrounds to come together and celebrate their individuality. There are so many pressures within society and online that you can only be this type of person and look a certain way, SLBB is about all people whoever they and giving them a support network.

Can we join and what comes

next?

Of course, you can! It developed as a hashtag around two years ago, asking people to tag and share their stories and pictures of who they are. Now it’s expanding to create actual communities. I’m starting with university groups to support young people as they become adults.

What does self-love mean

to you?

Being content with the body you are living in and understanding that flaws don't exist. They are only created by the media to prey on your insecurities.

What little things can we do

to show ourselves love?

Taking a self-care day is so important and having a break from social media and your phone. Whether it’s going for a walk, a pampering day or spending time with people you love, it’s important to know you don’t always have to be switched on.

If you could give your younger

self any advice what would

it be?

There are no two humans on this planet that are the same, you need to aspire to be the best version of yourself and not someone else.

How did you get into modelling?

5 years ago I was scouted in an East London boozer whilst dancing to Diana Ross. I was asked if I would model as Anna Nicole Smith and the shoot was by photographer Miles Aldridge. Once published, I was approached by Storm and started my career as a plus size model.

Tell us about the fierce RI Looks you’re wearing for today’s shoot?

I’ve chosen silky pyjamas that I’m going to wear as a suit. They’re so Hollywood and deluxe, it’s like something I would wear if I was a starlet and I lived in a mansion in LA. I’ve teamed them with a pair of fluffy heels to bring out the boudoir vibes and I’m going to add diamante jewellery. My second look is this red sheepskin style jacket that I’m obsessed with and a slogan t-shirt, because I love them and this one says, ‘being kind is cool’ which really fits in with the message of SLBB.
