Looks Are Served With @WearJutiEats

This spring we're inviting you to take a seat at our table, where looks and laughter are served side by side. It's the simple things in life that make us happy, and we’re *so* ready to reconnect with old, new or soon-to-be friends. Any reason to celebrate, we'll take it. This week we’re dining with our dear friend @WearJutiEats to find out what food means to her.

What does food represent to you?

Food is easily the most important part of my day. My plans literally revolve around when and what I'm eating that day. I love eating out because of the social aspect. I feel like when you're making plans to eat out, it's always a bit more special and enjoyable because usually I'm catching up with friends and family, so I always associate it with quality time.

What’s your favourite food and why?

I might be biased but my favourite is Thai food for sure, I feel like there's just so much variety from salads, to rice, noodles and curries. I've grown up with it and I can still eat it every day. The flavours are always strong plus I love spicy food.

Food can say a lot about someone, what does your favourite food say about you?

That I'm someone who likes variety - I don't get bored and like to go with the flow. I find in Asian cooking measurements of ingredients is just not a thing, everything is done by eye which is a fun way to look at life.

Can you name your top three restaurants where you live?

I would say the top three are: Sticks 'n' Sushi, Fatt Pundit and, I mean, I can't not say my Dad's cooking, so Thai Villa.

If you had to choose: brunch, lunch, dinner or cocktails?

So hard because I love brunch, but I feel like I enjoy dinner the most. Wouldn't say no to a cocktail though!

Do you have any favourite memories growing up that revolve around food?

We've had our family restaurant more or less since I was born, so food has always been such a big part of my childhood. Plus, if you've been to Thailand or know any Thai people, you’ll know that we LOVE our food. I remember when we visited my grandma in Thailand, we would always have a table covered with different dishes for breakfast ranging from fresh fruit to rice and meats. We could never eat it all but it's so nice to have food that brings the whole family together before you start the day.

If you could choose any other city to live in because of its cuisine, where would it be and why?

This is so hard! I'd love to live in Italy because pasta is definitely up there as one of my favourite foods. Plus, when I went to Rome, I had the best time eating everything, so I know I'd love it.
